Mr. Scott F. Miller, Senior Vice President and General Manager, HPTi Group
Mr. Miller provides leadership for all of the company's business operations and has primary responsibility for executing the company's business strategy. Mr. Miller previously served as HPTi's Group Vice President of Advanced Systems, where his group delivered leading-edge technology solutions to clients experiencing the most demanding computing problems. Mr. Miller is well prepared to meet HPTi's strategic goals, with 30 years of executive leadership and business development experience in the information technology industry. He has made key contributions that include delivering continuous corporate growth through new market penetration, market positioning, and business acquisition. Prior to joining HPTi, Mr. Miller was vice president at MRJ Technology Solutions where he built a successful business delivering data warehousing and discovery, as well as high performance systems solutions to federal and commercial organizations. He also helped to strategically reposition MRJ by establishing new lines of business and service offerings, and successfully entering new market segments. Mr. Miller began his career with General Electric Company. He graduated with a B.A. from Drexel University and an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. William J. Milligan, Chief Financial Officer
As HPTi CFO, Mr. Milligan is responsible for leading HPTi's corporate finance and legal functions. Mr. Milligan has over 25 years of experience in finance positions, of which more than 15 have been as a CFO. Among his accomplishments, he successfully managed the sale of a $150 million annual revenue information technology services company. He also managed that company's growth from $27 million to $150 million, developed the pricing strategy, and effectively negotiated a $200 million network services contract. Additionally, he created an on-line project financial reporting system. Mr. Milligan successfully led a campaign to raise $13 million for a commercial software start-up company and managed over $10 million in cash investments. Mr. Milligan earned his B.S. in accounting at Frostburg State University and his M.B.A. at George Washington University. He is a certified public accountant.
Mr. Robert S. Jones, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development
Mr. Jones is senior vice president as well as a member of the board of directors of HPTi. Responsible for HPTi's corporate development, he focuses on corporate strategy, human capital, and customer satisfaction. Mr. Jones has approximately 30 years of experience with large MIS systems and 25 years of management experience with federal clients. He has extensive experience in planning and managing large-scale projects for clients such as the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Defense. Mr. Jones also has experience in leading business process reengineering efforts as well as performing program audit reviews for U.S. government agencies. Mr. Jones is a certified government financial manager, a member of the Association of Government Accountants, and on the Professional Services Council Board of Directors. Prior to joining HPTi, Mr. Jones was an associate partner with Accenture. He graduated with a B.S. in commerce from the University of Virginia and received his M.B.A. in finance from the College of William & Mary.
Mr. Thomas "Jen" Connell, Senior Vice President of Business Development
Mr. Connell leads HPTi's business development efforts. As the senior vice president of business development, he is responsible for development of strategic business plans, budget, pipeline of opportunities, and account plans for the key HPTi portfolio areas. Mr. Connell has over 25 years' experience in the government information technology industry. He has led business development efforts that have resulted in over $1 billion in contract wins. Prior to joining HPTi, Mr. Connell served as senior vice president for business development for QSS Group Inc. Mr. Connell also led business development teams at ManTech International, Getronics/ Wang Government Solutions, and Lucent/AT&T Government Solutions. Mr. Connell graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in business administration.
Ms. Maggie M. Bauer, Group Vice President for Enterprise Technologies
Ms. Bauer serves as HPTi's group vice president for enterprise technologies. In this position, she is responsible for the overall general management and development of the firm's enterprise technologies group. Ms. Bauer has a successful history of working on important national programs in the healthcare market and holds an impressive track record in executive management, business expansion, and mentoring future leaders. With 22 years' experience in a variety of federal markets including healthcare and civilian agency IT, Ms. Bauer has strong skills in executive management and leadership development. Before joining HPTi, Ms. Bauer was a senior vice president in the Federal Civilian Division at Dell Perot Systems Government Services. There, she led 400 professionals and managed $100 million in revenue. Ms. Bauer's prior experience also includes executing growth strategies and capture management in the civilian IT market at QSS Group and operations management at ACS and CDSI. She holds certifications in project management from the Project Management Institute and is ITIL certified. Ms. Bauer earned her B.A. from Long Island University and holds a master's degree in organizational development from the Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Curtis Bedke, Group Vice President for Science and Technology
As HPTi's group vice president for science and technology, Mr. Bedke leads the efforts of HPTi's computational scientists and high performance computing engineers. Mr. Bedke retired from the Air Force as a Major General with 32 years of experience. From 2007 until his retirement in 2010, Mr. Bedke was Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. As Commander, he was responsible for the Air Force's $2.2 billion S&T program. Prior to his assignment at AFRL, he was the Commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center and was responsible for the safe test and evaluation of manned and unmanned aircraft systems. Before that, he was Director of the National Security Operations Center at the National Security Agency, where he directed the daily operations of the NSA's quick-response crisis nerve center. Mr. Bedke holds M.S. degrees in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from Stanford University and National Resource Strategy from Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He also has a B.S. degree in Astronautical Engineering & Mathematics from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Mr. David W. Cradlin, Vice President, Health Sciences Business Development
As vice president of health sciences business development, Mr. Cradlin supports the firm's growth in health science and solutions and cyber security practices. Mr. Cradlin has over 26 years' experience encompassing executive-level consulting in areas of capital planning, technology architectures, high performance computing, rapid application development, and systems engineering. Previously, Mr. Cradlin served as practice lead for HPTi's health science and solutions practice and directed a team to deliver enterprise architecture, project and program management support, earned value, and capital planning expertise at the executive level for the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and Veterans Affairs (VA). During his tenure, Mr. Cradlin's team more than doubled in size, and his practice revenue consistently exceeded target—in 2006, his practice's profits increased by 55 percent over the previous year. Mr. Cradlin is a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute. He received his B.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Michael Mikuta, Vice President of Technology Strategy-Cloud Computing and Mobile
Mr. Mikuta plays the lead role in the technological and cloud computing division at HPTi. Mr. Mikuta joined HPTi in 2001 and has over 20 years of experience evaluating, architecting, directing, building, and implementing technology solutions and innovation for commercial and government organizations. Mr. Mikuta has extensive experience working in both the military and intelligence arenas. He is the senior advisor on the Army DCGS-A Standard Cloud (DSC), where he is responsible for the implementation decisions, driving innovation, and the overall program releases. Additionally, Mr. Mikuta played a key role in architecting and implementing the FBI's next generation enterprise search and analysis platform. Prior to HPTi, Mr. Mikuta worked as a Business Technologist for E-Close, a startup company that built a web based solution for mortgage services. He also worked for Booz Allen Hamilton as a Web Unit Leader for their Engineering and Media Development Group. Mr. Mikuta attended Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis. He has extensive training in XML, Java, Sun Enterprise Server Management, and TOG User Interface Design.
