Although HPTi's offices all share a common organizational culture, each office has its own nuances and traditions. More than a simple address, each location has a unique personality.

Eau Claire (pronounced "O-Klair") is HPTi's satellite office specializing in HPTi's Advanced Systems and Homeland Security practices. The office, 90 minutes east of Minneapolis/St. Paul, is located in the front office of a converted 2-million-square-foot all-brick tire factory, with a history that dates to the turn of the century. Eau Claire (population 65,000), the smallest of HPTi's host communities, is a college town that sports a decidedly small-city atmosphere with most large-town amenities.
With affordable housing and grand mansions built during its lumbering and rail heyday (Eau Claire's nickname is "Sawdust City") and a high-tech community shaped by Chippewa valley native Seymour Cray (Cray Research), SGI, Presto, and Hutchingson Technologies, Eau Claire residents enjoy excellent public and parochial schools, low crime, extensive trail systems, and a lifestyle on the frontier of northern Wisconsin's vast summer and winter recreational opportunities. Two large hospitals, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire & Chippewa Valley Tech, excellent shopping, and a friendly hometown attitude all add up to the reasons why Money Magazine named the city one of the best places to live in the United States.
